Lil Boosie Released From A 5 Year Prison Stint

The most ridiculous voice in rap is back !!! Fresh off his 5 year stint in jail (and in 2012, was narrowly acquitted of highly-publicized 2009 murder trial), Lil Boosie has been released from the Angola State Penitentiary in Baton Rouge, LA … Here’s the official statement from the penitentiary following B-O-O-S-I-E-B-A-D-A-Z-Z-THATS-ME!’s release:

Rap Artist Lil Boosie was released from the Louisiana State Penitentiary in Angola Wednesday night.
Angola State Penitentiary Warden Burl Cain confirms the rapper, who is legally named Torrence Hatch, was released at 7:10 p.m. He was transferred to a sheriff’s department facility in St. Francisville where family members were waiting for him.

Boosie first entered prison in 2009 after pleading guilty to a third-offense marijuana possession charge. He’ll be placed on supervised parole until 2018…

Atlanta Records has reported a press conference scheduled for March 10, which Boosie will apparently be attending…

What’s next for Boosie?

No one really knows … Here’s a cool pic he released after his release on his Instagram page:

And there’s a funny video he posted of his daughter saying this (I can’t seem to find the video/be able to show it on here):

“I told y’all niggas! I told y’all niggas! Y’all thought I was playing, but I told you! Boosie coming home today, he coming home today, he coming home today. Told y’all! Y’all better believe it. The streets is his!” – Lil Boosie’s daughter

…. Really nice to have your daughter say that … I mean honestly, I know you should be beyond excited … But like it amazes me that these kids are exposed to this kind of talking at such a young age and not only is it allowed, but it seems to be promoted … That’s besides the point …

Boosie obviously has been nowhere to be found the last few years because he’s been a bit compromised, but people forget the influence he had on rap … Not to say that it was amazing, but he was certainly involved in some popular songs and had a pretty good following …

He appeared on the 2007 Summer hit, “Wipe Me Down,” and was still on the up-and-up around 2009-2010 with artists like Khaled & Wayne … Both have since declined, but given the hype following Boosie’s release, his songs will certainly get the attention of a lot of people … Let’s see what he has to offer us…

Here’s a funny video of Boosie freestyling on his way home, aptly named “The Ride Home (Freestyle)” … Man I miss that voice:
