Kobe Bryant To Critics: “Revenge Is Sweet And It’s Quick”

This is why I love Kobe … Dude is just a straight warrior … Killer instinct, incredible work ethic, and a competitive spirit that is second to none …

Speaking with Jeff G. The Sports Dude of Power 106 in Los Angeles, Bryant put the world on notice:

Jeff G.: “You just signed a two-year deal…talk about what that means to you and what the fans can expect the last two years from Kobe.

Kobe: This year, we all know it’s been a real tough year for us right? So what I’d like everybody to do is to really just sit back and just absorb this year. Take it all in. Sit back and watch and listen and hear all the hate that’s being thrown at us and remember every person that’s kicking you when you’re down because next year it ain’t gunna be this way.

Appreciate it now. Let it sit in now, because revenge is sweet and it’s quick.”

Even though his physical body and abilities may be barely holding on, Kobe is going to go out fighting. No matter what. That’s the definition of a fighter … His mark on the NBA cannot be understated. He literally should be the poster boy for motivation and work ethic, because he has squeezed every last little drop of potential that he has contained in that body …

The odds may be against Kobe, but Kobe wouldn’t let you believe that. In a February interview, Kobe was convinced the Lakers could return to form, if not this year then next … That remains to be seen, but for the Lakers to have a true shot at making some noise next season, they’re going to have to make some serious noise in the offseason …

Lakers fans may still have a glimmer of hope, albeit in the form of an aging & wounded superstar … Let’s see if he can fight his way back to contention for one last hurrah …
